What are the potential issues that could happen if your name is listed on a research in exchange for payment?
Many platforms that sell research and offer to include your name often produce work with a high percentage of plagiarism. Some sections might even be copied from other published papers. If this is discovered, the research paper will be retracted after publication. The paper’s title and the authors’ names would remain visible with a note stating:
"Retracted due to ...."
causing significant damage to the reputation of those whose names appear on the paper.
Additionally, the author’s name could be added to a blacklist preventing them from publishing in the same journal or any other journals in the future if the misconduct is discovered.
